Peanut Chikki

Chikki’s are a craze in my family. All the four of us love them. All this days i was bringing it from super markets not anymore, when it can be prepared so easily at home why to bring it from outside?

This time i wanted to try it at home and lo the result was fantastic. My kids loved it.

Ingredients:

1 cup Peanuts

1 cup Sugar

3 tsp Ghee

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

Method:

Roast the peanuts on a medium flame. Remove the skin and make a coarse powder. Heat ghee and once it melts add sugar. Heat on a medium flame, mixing it continuously. When all sugar melts down, immediately add the peanut powder. Remove from heat and mix well.
Grease cutting board with ghee. Pour this mixture on top, roll into a big round. Cut them immediately. If it cools down you won’t be able to roll or cut it into pieces.

 

 

 

Store in an air tight container.
