I was searching for an easy sweets recipe that could be prepared with less ingredients, not time consuming and lo, I came across this Doodh peda recipe from Sailu’s Kitchen. It took just a few minutes to prepare this sweet and my kids loved it.
Milk Powder: 1 1/2 cups
Condensed milk: 1 can
Butter: 8 tbsps
Cardamom: 4 (peel and crush the seeds in a mortal and pestle)
Nuts: Almonds OR Pistachios OR Cashew nuts OR Raisins
Take a heavy bottomed vessel and melt the butter in it. Mix the milk powder and condensed milk with melted butter, Cook on low to medium flame, stirring constantly, till it becomes a thick paste. Add cardamom powder and mix well. Turn off heat and allow to cool till you can handle the mixture with your hand. Lightly grease your fingers and palm, shape the mixture into small balls and flatten them slightly. Decorate the doodh pedas with nuts of your choice and store in an air tight container.
